Since 2012, the Nadkarni Medical Foundation (NMF) has been driving cancer screening, awareness camps, and community health education across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Daman (UT) & Dadra and Nagar Haveli (UT) — in partnership with Aveksha 21st Century Cancer Hospital, Vapi.
Nadkarni Medical Foundation – Fighting Cancer Through Awareness
Founded in 2008 by Dr. Kishore and Late Dr. Purnima Nadkarni, with cancer awareness added in 2012 by Dr. Akshay Nadkarni.
The Nadkarni Medical Foundation (NMF) was established with the mission to serve rural communities in healthcare. In 2012, the cancer screening and awareness initiative was launched to address the critical need for early detection in underserved areas.
NMF partners with corporate organizations, NGOs, health facilities, schools, and religious organizations to reach men, women, and children through awareness campaigns aligned with World Cancer Day, International Women’s Day, Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and more.
Working hand-in-hand with Aveksha 21st Century Cancer Hospital, the foundation ensures that awareness leads to action — with free screening, subsidized diagnostics, and accessible treatment pathways.
First PET-CT facility in Valsad District at subsidized cost of ₹8,000 per patient — supported by donations.
